Starting his career as a photographer, Nicklas has a natural eye for visual aesthetic to convey the concepts of his curios mind. He is always searching for a universal meaning of human belongings, and by combining documentary and narrative techniques, he seeks to explore stories that are equally authentic and poetic.

Most of the time he draws inspiration from his own life experiences and he has a great understanding of being present.

In 2015, Nicklas shot and directed his first documentary 'BASHKIM' (winner of Best Film at Danish Internet Awards), which kickstarted his journey into filmmaking. That very same year, he co-founded The Base Studio — a creative production company located in Copenhagen. Ever since, Nicklas has directed, photographed, produced and collaborated with some of the biggest brands and athletes, while travelling the world.

In 2020 Nicklas founded Take a break studio and moved to the countryside of Denmark, from where he write most of his projects. Nicklas lives with his wife Josephine, daughter Rose and Manfred the dog.
